To the Land of the Rising Sun - With Love.

Yesterday I was driving down a calm street in our town, headed out to do a few errands. The sun was shining (finally!), I had great music on the radio and my husband had even taken the kids so I could do some stress-free shopping and returns. It was all so commonplace and normal and it made it hard to believe that on the other side of the world, people are reeling from the aftermath of such a massive natural disaster. I cannot comprehend the suffering. I cannot comprehend losing your loved ones, or having your home - your entire city - ripped apart by earthquakes and then a tsunami. Oh, and as the icing on the cake, now a looming nuclear disaster. I am not sure how to put such an event into words, even.
All I can say is that my heart and prayers go out to our brothers and sisters in Japan...May the sun shine on you again soon!
